What is a FRIEND, and what is the meaning of the word FRIEND
In life, we often hear or use the word friend. But, how often do we stop for a moment and reflect on its meaning? Is a friend a figure who is always there when we need him, or can he turn into someone who is cruel enough to bring us down or even ignore us when we are no longer needed?
Can you imagine how ironic it is? There are friends whose presence is like the seasons, coming when the dry season hits and leaving when the rain comes. Mereka muncul ketika butuh bantuan, butuh cerita, butuh sandaran.
However, once there is a new "season", there are new people, or things get better, those of us who were always there for them seem to be forgotten, even ignored. It feels like it was thrown away after it was no longer needed.
Perhaps, this is one of the painful definitions of friendship: those who are there only because they are needed, and disappear when they have found what they are looking for.We, who sincerely give our time and attention, are nothing more than a ladder to be stepped on to reach the heights, then abandoned once the goal is reached.
From here, we learn that not all smiles and sweet promises lead to loyalty. Some come just to take, then leave without even looking back. In the end, we realize that the value of a friendship is not measured by how often they come through in hard times, but rather from how sincerely they remain there, even when we are no longer directly "needed."
Sometimes just their presence feels like a present ππ✨
ReplyDeletethats right, but sometimes their presence makes us tired, tired of doing things, and tired of wearing a mask every day to look happy.
